Day 2 - Pyrenees

Well we've made it through most of France, we have also done two days worth of offline blog's on this here blogger app...but as yet, its failed to publish..so will just do a up to date one for now.

We don't have any data for France (found a free WiFi at the ski resort for now) but in Spain I plan on buying a payg sim with data.

So we've done 850ish miles since the start and just put the last four drums of vege in the van, which has been handy as we have driven a lot, took turns, and when pulled up for the night refuelled.

Weather's been great today, 29c, and the scenery has changed a good few times too...though we nearly committed harry karry around Bordeaux as we got stuck big time for two hours.

Tonight's stop over is yet another wonderful French 'Aires'. If you don't know what they are they are basically free campsites. They come in two flavours really, motorway versions and private versions. The latter being the better ones as they are more remote and often have better facilities. Last night's Aire was three euro's, this was because the shower facilities, washing etc were included in the site so they charged to stay where as others tend to be coin operated and free to park.

Tonight's Aire is based around a ski resort and is full of other campers, spotted a few T4's and T25's so the VW scene is here...though most are motor homes.

Just had some lovely scran cooked up by the beautiful Rebecca, saffron rice with minted lamb steaks and stuffed pepper and halloumi...yum! Just taking in the day now with a 'Abbaye de Lyre'; Nettos finest French beer haha..but...I found a bottle of beer called "Duff" (from the Simpsons) so that's gonna be had later!

Plan tomorrow is to burn it down to Valencia and find an actual campsite...mainly because Spain doesn't do these free Aires and because we've seen a good one on the beach.

This luxury camper van was spotted a round Bordeaux... Fully kitted out as you can tell..French you think...no British! Spot the plastic garden chair...

2nd night's Aires in Chateau Larcher

Had some nice scenery nearby and a little village we walked to and had a beverage.

And this is where we are at now...blogging has had to stop because 1) we perched on a rock near the ski resort stealing Wi-Fi, 2) Rebecca needs a wee, 3) a toad literally just crawled on my leg and I f**king sh*t it and kicked it off mwwaaahhh

Day 1 - We are on the road!

Well we've made the ferry..an earlier one too..cost us an extra tenner but hey ho we wanted to get on and over a bit earlier....we had a discrepancy with the van not being a car..lol oh well I blagged it anyway :-)

So the journey has began...I have driven for the first 150miles, Bedford area, and Its just the boring part of the journey really so decided to give Rebecca ago at driving....she's a bit out of practice really given she's not driven her car for a week or so and Vera for a few months, she's changed somewhat in that time!

We finished work early today simply because we couldn't wait to get going and we figured it may be cutting it fine finishing at 5 then getting the dover ferry at 11:30pm!

Anyway will save you all the speil because this is the boring bit..
