Day 15 - The South West Coast

After waking at Sa Caleta we had some tortilla espanol (spabish ommeltte with potato and onion) for breakfast and checked the map for places we hadn't yet explored.

In desperate need of fuel, we found a petrol station 8km away in San Josep. You have to get out and pay first at most stations here, so 20euros was handed over and the pump clicks off at 20..easy way to stop people driving off without paying. Whilst I was getting water, Christian was checking on Vera he found that the lower ball joint dust casing has a split in...great. So, after yet more improvisation from my very own Bear Grylls it was kind of secured with some zippy clips and freezer bags...he reckons cheap ball joints and rocky terrain are to blame!

We headed off in search of some more beaches and found Cala Moli, about 25km South of San Antonio. It was really pretty, but after noticing everyone had protective footwear and seeing a little girl show her Dad the dozen sea urchins she had netted we decided to move on.

Cala Talida offered a nice beach on the resort, but was very busy. We opted for an overpriced shit beer and headed back to the camper for our daily bocadillo.

We knew we were headed back to our trusty spot at Cala Comte for a trance night, so we headed back to there at 5ish to try and get a good spot near the cliff edge. A room with a view.

I made up some sangria, which we offered around to Steve and others who were also back for the trance night. Thankfully, I got to see fanny-anne again too.

Putting a chicken on the Cobb we watched the sunset. After an hour of cooking we seemed to have every dog in the neighborhood hanging around. Christian was hosing them with the shower, which helped until we were eating...then we had an audience.

The trance night started at 10:30pm at Sunset Ashram, with a band, a guy and 2 girls. Not quite the trance that I remember from back in the day. This was more folky and hippy, (psy trance) as you would expect I guess. All in all though, they had most of the restaurant dancing and were really good. There was even a song where they were chanting "blue moon"...we tried to catch in on camera but failed miserably, sorry Brett.

After a couple of hours we were back at the van and christian was sharing the leftover chicken carcass, which he slow roasted, with ziggy and fanny.

We rounded off  the evening at Steve's after party at his van!
